South Asian Clothes Closet

As part of the consortium's outreach efforts we would like to develop a closet from which materials can be lent to local schools to support lesson plans, theatrical projects, and other events that have a tactile South Asian component. If you have any old saris, shalwars, dupattas, bangles, kurtas, etc. please consider donating them to this good cause. We would like to have both men and women's clothing and clothing/ accessories from as many of the countries that fall under our region as possible. If you have anything to donate please contact Alicia Wallace Jones (alicia.jones@duke.edu) and we can set up a time to pick it up or you can drop it at the Consortium's office in the John Hope Franklin Center at Duke.
