Tamil Language Courses
Tamil, a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the Tamil people of the Indian subcontinent, was the first Indian language to be declared as a classical language by the government of India in 2004. Tamil is the official language of Sri Lanka and Singapore. It is also spoken by other minorities in Malaysia, Mauritius, and Réunion, as well as emigrant communities around the world.
Tamil Course Offerings
Tamil for UNC and Duke students:
Tamil is also available to UNC and Duke students through inter-institutional registration. These students may elect to travel to NCSU but if there is enough enrollment we will try to provide video-conferencing to your campus. Here is how to register:
